So the second week has begun. And what are you doing about it? Don’t tell me your hard at work, crunching numbers for some bank, or in some warehouse stacking boxes. I don’t want to hear it! You should have told your boss that you’ve got the month off. I mean, it is National Novel Editing Month after all. He should know that! So, get your lazy bum back home or back to your favorite coffee shop and get editing! You’ve still got a lot of work to do.
I know, I know. The second week is always the hardest, whether writing or editing. But trust me once this week is over, especially if you can finish at least an hour ahead of schedule, you’ll feel like you’re a mile high.
Right now I can tell you’re falling behind, what with work, and classes, and your general life getting in the way. But nothing will slow you down. All you have to do is an hour and a half of editing everyday. And if you can move that up to two hours, you’ll jump ahead and be able to take a few days off. Unless you’ve already done that, in which case, I’m sorry.
So, hop back into your gondola, head back to Venice, and get your novel edited. Get back on your horse and head back out west, or maybe your horses live on another planet and you need a spaceship to get to them. Either way, you know what you have to do. Go out and get it done.
