Site Update
If you have logged your 50 hours and you do not have the Winners Stuff option in your MyEdmo menu, log out of the EdMo site and then log back in. If that does not work try clearing your cache and cookies.

We are aware of Winners showing up multiple times on the Winners list and will remove the duplicates once the deadline for logging hours has passed.

Countdown

until NaNoEdMo 2011 begins!
Welcome

Welcome to National Novel Editing Month! (Otherwise known as NaNoEdMo, or just EdMo)

You have entered the portal to the crazy world of novel editing. Have you written a 50,000 word novel but haven't edited it yet? Then you've come to the right place! It is here that people from all over the world gather together to spend 50 hours in March editing their novels. This is not as easy as it might sound but the forums are available to get advice and ask all the important questions you may have. Advice from real published authors will also be here to help you and a certificate of completion awaits each winner at the end of the month.

We know it's a crazy thing to do, but it is loads of fun and we do hope you'll stay. We've got many pots of strong coffee brewing to help keep you going as well as a store room full of sugary candied goodness just waiting for you to jump in and start editing!

Think you have what it takes to edit fifty hours in one month? Then sign up and get your red pen ready because on March 1st the fun begins!

Edit For Ego

Author: Josh Lanyon Time: 3/31 11:36
I have a reputation for being fairly prolific, but I have to tell you here and now that I’m not one of those writers who can bang out a coherent rough draft in a couple of weeks. For me, writing a first draft is torture. I have to drag the words out one at a time, conscious all the while that much of what I’m writing is sheer and utter crap. In fact, the only comfort to me during the first draft phase is the knowledge that this is only a first draft and that the miracle of editing is coming -- and that soon my lame and halting prose will be up and running.
