National Novel Editing Month (NaNoEdMo.net) is provided by the volunteer administration who run the site free of charge to any user who agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you may not access NaNoEdMo.net. The administration reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time and any such change shall be effective by the date shown at the top of this page.

FORUMS
The forums on our site are meant for all participants to use, no matter what their age, unless specified within the forum description. We want you to have fun here while you work your butt off editing your novel. What we don’t want is harmful material of any kind to ruin your fun experience. Harmful material includes swear words (in pen-names and subject lines as well as the actual post) and anything abusive, threatening, hateful, or sexual. If any of this is found, the poster will have their NaNoEdMo account deleted and will be banned from the site.

The administration reserves the right to remove or edit posts deemed harassing or offensive, however we will not be held accountable for anything you find that you may find offensive. All forum posts convey the thoughts of the particular author who posted them and in no way reflect those of the administration unless it is a post from them, specifically.

EMAIL AND PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your email address is used by this site to confirm your registration details and password, and to send out weekly pep talk emails. We will never, under any circumstances, give away, or sell any personal information you may have on this site. You do, however, have the choice whether or not to make your email address viewable by the public. If you do, please note that we have no control over who sees it and who contacts you for whatever reasons they may have, whether it be NaNoEdMo related or not.

WEEKLY EMAILS FROM ADMINISTRATION AND RPLS
Speaking of receiving emails, you will be receiving weekly pep talks from the administration as well as your local Red Pen Luminary who will alert you to any events happening in your area. If you do not wish to receive either of these, please DO NOT reply to the emails because neither the administration or your RPL have the power to take you off the mailing list. In order to do this, you must log into your profile and check off the ‘yes’ or ‘no’ circles at the bottom of the page next to the question: “Receive occasional email notices from administrators and moderators?”, depending on whether you want the emails or not.

LITERARY PREDATORS
Please note that there may be others on the site who claim to be a publisher or an agent. Whether they are, or are not, please look into their offer before you buy into it. We do not claim to be responsible for their actions and intentions, whether true or not. While we want you to land a good publishing deal when you’re ready and when the time is right, we do not want you to be scammed in the process. So, if a deal seems too good to be true, check it out first.

WARRANTIES OF SERVICE
NaNoEdMo.net is available on an "as is," "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. The administration shall not be responsible for any consequences of delays, interruptions or termination of NaNoEdMo.net that you may receive.

DATA COLLECTING
The data on this site may not be collected for any unsolicited advertising, including spam, or for your own purposes whether personal or commercial.
